Why are we doing this
Earth is the only astronomical object known to harbor Life. Billions of years of evolution towards an incredibly diverse biosphere. A living life-support system we so often take for granted.
We couldn’t get food without pollinators and the rains that trees create. We couldn’t get medicines without plants growing in the rainforest. We couldn't get clean water without the recycling made by living ecosystems.
And we are losing it.
The “Living Planet Index” shows a decline of more than 70% in the last 50 years. The current rate of extinction is 1000 times faster than the natural background rate. As we lose biodiversity, ecosystems reduce productivity and resilience. We are unintentionally dismantling the most basic infrastructure we need to survive.
But it’s not too late.
When we intervene, results happen. Nature is astonishingly resilient. But to act, we first need to understand. The truth is: we’ve been flying blind. We don’t truly know our dependencies and our impacts on nature. We don’t truly know where we should prioritize action and how to get started.
It’s time to change that.
AI gives us new vision. We now have the capabilities to reason across gigantic volumes of data, model hyper-complex systems, and turn months of expert analysis into days. The last mile is still human: scientific judgement, field practical knowledge, ground data collection, must be done by people, on territory.
We will build the platform to combine these two pillars – powerful AI and a network of human experts – to provide the data, the knowledge and the infrastructure the world needs to act to ensure long-term biosphere integrity.
It will take a village.
Companies must uplift their supply chains. Investors must redirect capital. Governments must operationalize effective frameworks. Land stewards must execute effectively. We are here to support each of them, every step of the way, until we bend the curve.
A future of abundance is possible: humanity and the rest of life thriving together.
